Welcome to Soupçon
Welcome to Soupçon
I hope you like us! We're in the heart of Wakefield village just steps from the Black Sheep Inn.Come for dinner, before a show, or just come and check us out. Surround yourself with a new art show every few months and dig into some Asian inspired food.
We have a small menu with a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian items and we're fully licensed. I'm back in the kitchen and I still like to go to the S.A.Q to pick some new wines from the new releases, so the menus are always changing. |

Ottawa Express Education and Employment Guide - Food
“Good for Chef Tanya Skeates and her new venture in Wakefield. Nothing like a little calculated risk to get your teeth into. It's not easy to start a business, let alone a restaurant. But Skeates has the resume to boast, not only with the Manx background, but the European and Asian flavoured Air Miles to boot. If the customers are already drooling about her spring rolls and homemade cuisine, that's generally a good sign of support from the Wakefield locals. All she needs to get going in her restaurant is something akin to what Jamie Oliver has done over in England and begin offering her skills and training to the next generation who would likely benefit from her panache, enthusiasm and zest for life.” Steve Landry, August 18th, 2005 (Ottawa Express) [See ‘Reviews’]
